Earth, Air, Water, and Halland
This spring we are sporting a new name - the Scandinavian Insider – and a posh new website. The name change was necessary to reflect the magazine’s broadened geographical coverage and future Web-intentions. The website, well… many would agree was just plain in need of change.
South of Sweden...er...the Scandinavian Insider magazine’s beautiful new website now offers a comprehensive entertainment guide to Sweden and Denmark. Still a work in progress, the site - sosmag.se - will be continuously improved and updated according to your needs and requirements. Use this opportunity to tell us what you think.
Changes aside, three men in their elements dominate our current issue. The talented David Wiles talks separately to two with contrasting passions – Heaven and Earth. One man is dedicated to fulfilling his dream of travelling into space while the other spends most of his working hours 20 meters below the earth’s surface.
Home is where the rapids are for the third man, a master white water kayaker, who has conducted several major expeditions in the Himalayas. He guest writes on the basics of white water kayaking and guides us to the best rapids in Norway and Sweden.
And finally, if you are looking for a spring/summer leisure weekend escape and “playing in the elements” is not your thing, then set your coordinates 56˙45N, 13˙00E toward the mysteriously prosperous Swedish region of Halland, our next travel stop and home to a 1,001 spas, the pop group Roxette, and the highest number of golf greens per capita in Sweden.
Here’s hoping you’ll enjoy our current issue and we welcome comments on our new site and name change.
